DFRWS USA 2025 — “History in the Making” — Jubilee 25th Anniversary

Event: DFRWS USA 2025

Dates: July 22-25

Location: Loop Campus, DePaul Center, 1 E. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL, USA

We are excited to announce that Jess Garcia, Founder and CEO of One eSecurity and Senior SANS Instructor, will be attending the DFRWS USA 2025 Conference, taking place from July 22 to July 25 in Chicago, Illinois.

The Digital Forensic Research Workshop (DFRWS) has long been recognized as a leading global forum for advancing digital forensics. This special Jubilee edition, themed “History in the Making,” celebrates 25 years of innovation in the field—covering topics such as memory and cloud forensics, IoT, malware analysis, and the integration of AI and GenAI into forensic methodologies.

As part of the official agenda, Jess will also be presenting a workshop titled:

Join us for an immersive 4-hour workshop designed to elevate your DFIR skills through the power of AI. This hands-on session explores the integration of both custom Machine Learning models and Generative AI technologies into DFIR workflows, offering practical insights for real-world challenges.

The first half of the session will focus on lightweight, domain-specific ML models such as LSTM and Transformers to detect lateral movement, perform anomaly detection, and enhance UEBA. Participants will build and deploy models using tools like Pandas, Keras, Tensorflow, and the ds4n6_lib.

In the second half, the focus shifts to Generative AI, with hands-on use of LLMs (e.g., ChatGPT API) and frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, and LlamaIndex. Learn how to design DFIR Copilots, correlate threat intelligence, and automate forensic workflows using AI Agents in real-time investigations.
